My name is Lara Coombs and I am currently majoring in Interior Design and Art Education. My love of the arts has always been, and will be a part of me. Art is my happy place to express myself in my own unique ventures and is my emotional outreach to convey a message. As my time in Montgomery College (Rockville Campus) comes to an end I will soon be obtaining my Associates degree
in Interior Design upon conclusion of the Spring 2018 semester. In the Fall I will continue my studies at the University of Maryland for Secondary education in art, which will qualify me to teach art to Pre-K – 12 grade students.
For this Portfolio, the art works displayed are from my ARTT- 116 : DIGITAL TOOLS FOR VISUAL ARTS class at Montgomery College. As it appears the assignments are focused on the country Guatemala. I am not personally from there, though when choosing a country to study I was much interested in the cultural information I could obtain. For example, I Have a friend who’s husband is Guatemalan and being close to their family I had a Prier idea to what the culture was like. By the end of this project, I feel as though I was encouraged to research and gather further information and have learned new ideas a concepts to life in Guatemala.
